"So…let me introduce myself, my name is Kate Hawthorne and I have been appointed by the courts to be your defense attorney" Kate began talking as soon as she stepped into the small holding room,  barely even looking at the young woman sitting in the orange jumpsuit across the table. "And you are Breanna Mixon…age 25, currently being held on a charge of breaking and entering and felony theft. Quite a step up from all your previous charges of petty theft, receiving stolen property, loitering, drug possession. It looks like you've been in and out of the system for over 10 years now. Are you ready to either get on a new path or spend the next 5 to 10 years in prison?" Kate looked up finally to find Breanna staring back at her.  Bre was what she expected; an odd mixture of chubby and skinny. Her face was bloated, her features were nondescript, her brown hair was unkempt but her arms were skinny. "Did you see what I stole?" Bre asked. "No, that is currently in the custody of the Police as evidence but it says that it was a statue from the private collection of Mrs. Jane Witherspoon…not the person in this town I would want to be caught stealing from. The Witherspoon family will push for full charges and punishment. They know and influence every Judge around here. It's why I'm not very optimistic for you" Kate replied. "It was worth it" Bre said. "I doubt it" Kate shot back. "Oh trust me…it was and you'll find that out too. Is there any way you can get access to the statue. You need to bring it to me so I can confirm or deny that it's what I stole" "Yes, I can see it but I can't bring it to you"  "That would do…go see it for yourself before you come back to see me" Bre said. "Okay" Kate moved on "Oh…" she said reading the next few lines "It says you are 4 months pregnant" "Yes I am" Bre replied and Kate sighed. "Let me do some groundwork and I be back in a few days" "I'm not going anywhere yet" Bre said. Kate came back 2 days later. Bre still looked a mess but she stood up as she entered and put her hand out to shake. Kate took it, gave 2 pumps as they studied each other. Bre smirked a bit "You’re so tall" she said. I didn't realize you were that tall" Kate blushed a bit "Yes I'm 5'11" and I'm wearing heels today. It makes me more intimidating when I'm in court too" "Oh that's awesome,'' Bre laughed. She was just 5'1" "such a bonus" she added quietly.  "So I've been thinking about your defense and…" Kate began.  "Did you see the statue?" Bre asked. "Yes I did…apparently it's a statue of the Celtic God Lugh…" "Not only that, it was crafted by Lugh himself" Bre added. Kate was a bit thrown off "Anyway…it's priceless and should be in a museum" she added huffily arching her back, stretching as she talked. "Wow haha" Bre leaned forward. "What?" Kate asked perplexed. "Oh it's nothing…the outfit you wore the last time you were here did nothing for you. When you stretched like that, I just noticed that you have great tits"  "What?!" Kate blushed "That is highly inappropriate and that kind of talk needs to stop!" Breanna chuckled and leaned back in her chair. She leaned to her right "Nice legs too" "Excuse you?!" Kate pushed her chair back rapidly "I think we're going to be done if you can't control yourself" "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" Bre apologized "Did you touch the statue though?" Kate was gathering up papers, flustered. "The glow of it…that shimmery, shiny blue glow" Breanna said. Kate huffed and pushed a stray strand of her long blonde hair off her forehead "It was red but yes" she muttered "I don't see why it's so important but…" "Do you like your job?" Breanna asked. "What? What does that have to do with this?" Kate replied Bre just continued looking at her, a look of curious anticipation on her face.She folded her arms on the table and leaned forward. "It's fine. My job is..fine. I…" Kate said. She was feeling uncomfortable, off somehow. "It doesn't sound like you like it" Breanna said shaking her head slowly, an odd smile on her lips. "Look, I don't have to justify anything to you" "But as my lawyer you do need to spend time with me and my case" Bre said looking into Kate's blue eyes. Kate found herself returning the look. She looked into Bre's brown eyes. She studied her face. Less bloated than a few days earlier, she had a small nose, a narrow forehead and a weak chin. "So you touched the portrait of Lugh?" Kate shook her head "Yes. I already told you that. I'm allowed access to evidence and even though I'm not supposed to touch physical evidence…" "You felt compelled to right? You had to touch it. It was an other worldly compulsion once you saw it" Kate was shocked "How…?" She started to say but quickly shut her mouth. She pursed her lips and looked down furiously shuffling papers. Bre sat back. She lifted up the bottom of her orange prison top. Her stomach was just now starting to really stick out. A round ball sat there, the sign of her pregnancy. Kate's eyes lifted a few times but would immediately shift back down to the table. "What if I were the lawyer and you were the one in here?" Bre asked suddenly. Kate looked up confused "What are you talking about? How is that constructive to your case?" "Put yourself in my shoes, that's how. Think about what it would be like if our places were reversed" Kate was mesmerized. She found her mind drifting off, she was staring straight ahead and Bre smiled. "It's true!" She thought as her mouth went dry and all the hair on her neck stood up on end. Goosebumps broke out on her arms and legs. The possibilities were endless and open in front of her. She knew that currently Kate was picturing exactly what she had said. Bre waited until Kate shook herself out of her trance. Kate saw her smiling there across from her. Kate's jaw went up and down wordlessly. Bre looked Kate in the eye and said "By Lugh, we will switch height. I will be 5'11" and you will become 5'1" as we switch sizes" Bre stood up and took a step to the side of the table. Kate stood up shakily. She had to. "What? What are you doing?"  Kate stepped to her left and towered over the small inmate. Bre craned her neck up, a peculiar smile on her face as she took Kate's hand in her own. Kate jumped, jerked a bit feeling the warmth. An image of a blacksmiths forge came to mind. She saw a hammer pound a glowing red piece of iron. Bre felt it too, a sudden surge, warmth spreading throughout her entire body followed by the oddest sensation of stretching and being pulled upwards. Feet in her stupid paper slippers, firmly planted on the ground, yet she was going upwards. Kate jerked again but this time it was from her feet slipping forward in her heels. "What the…? My shoes?" She said snapping out of her trance. "What’s happening to me?" She felt her stomach flipping. The room was moving around her. Breanna in front of her was moving too, coming up. Coming up closer to her. Kate felt her blouse cuffs moving over her hands. Her clothes were getting bigger on her. She was so confused. "Oh fuck me! This feels amazing! What a fucking rush! I've always wanted to be tall!" Bre said. "What?! What are you talking about?!" Kate tried to pull away from Breanna but couldn't. She was getting taller right in front of her. Kate was shocked. Her mind was scrambling, demanding answers, trying to adjust. Somehow this tiny woman was now almost her equal in height. Kate even rose up on her tip toes trying to stay ahead as they pulled up even. "Oh no you don't haha" Bre laughed. "I'm already taller than you…it's just those damn heels that are keeping you above me for the moment, but that's not going to last" Bre teased. Kate was only vaguely aware that as she rose up on the balls of her feet, her heels didn't scrape the backs of her shoes. Her black skirt was below her knees now as she dropped to 5'5 and Bre rose to 5'7". Another inch lost and Kate was shorter than Bre despite her 3" heels. "How are you doing this? This isn't real" Kate began. "Oh you have no idea girly! Just wait Ms. Kate Hawthorne…you won't believe your eyes!" Kate was now having to look up to Bre more and more and Bre had gone from craning her neck upwards to putting her chin against her chest to look down at her. Kate's upturned face, round, pale, and white; slipped further away getting smaller. Kate was below Breanna's chin when she felt a lurching roll to her stomach as she finally stopped shrinking. Bre's shoulders jerked and she shivered as she finally stopped growing. She started laughing "Oh my God what a fucking feeling!" She shivered again with chills. "I…how…" Kate slapped at her oversized clothes, shuffling a bit to keep her shoes on. She looked up and watched Bre bring her left hand up into the snapping position. With a snap of her fingers, Kate dropped another 3 inches.  Kate lurched as her heels dropped and slapped hard against the concrete floor but she managed to catch Bre going up even taller. "Ooooooo these feel like real leather" Bre said admiring her new shoes, a pair of black leather pumps. "Hey! Give me back my shoes!" Kate protested feeling her feet slide and shift in a pair of flimsy prison issue slippers. "Ah, ah, ah…don't worry about these…they're not going to fit you anymore anyway. I told you to put yourself in my shoes but I need your shoes for that to work" Bre towered over Kate by more than a foot once she was in her heels. "Hey…wait a second; is that a pedicure?" Bre snapped her fingers again pointing down at Kate's toes. "Yuh…yeah" she replied sheepishly. "I get a mani pedi every 2 weeks" Kate's nails were currently a dark, deep purple color. She curled her long toes up trying to hide them. "They're mine" she said succinctly and Kate felt her feet start to contract inward. Her toes shrank down smaller, pudgier, as her nails went small, flat and plain. Her feet were slipping against the floor and her slippers. Her heels had been hanging off the backs but now, the slippers actually seemed big.  Kate's feet were pale and very, very plain. Breanna felt her feet spreading out inside her expensive heels. Her feet had already grown with her increased height, but she could tell that it hadn't been enough. Her shoes didn't fit as well as they could, they were pinching her toes and scraping at her heels. "I mean, how the fuck do you have sexy feet? They're feet but damn!" She said feeling her heels slide backwards until they grew snug. She felt her toes stretching out, reaching the ends of the shoes, her bigger toes settled into the slight divots worn in.  "Holy shit…look at those" Bre had gotten her right foot out and she flexed her long toes, topped off by perfectly shaped purple nails. She flexed and rolled her ankle as her foot was suspended. Another quick chuckle and she slipped it back into her heel. "What the Actual Fuck?!" Kate yelled out "How? How are you doing this?" Bre smirked and scoffed at the tiny woman raging in front of her "Be careful. Losing your temper like that isn't good for you or for your baby" "I'm not pregnant! You are!" Kate said, jumping up. Bre lifted her shirt. It had rode up exposing most of her round belly anyway. She looked down then slowly, she looked over. "No. No, no, no, no…" Kate protested but she felt her stomach and abdominal muscles tighten and stretch. "How does it feel being pregnant Kate?" Bre said as she watched her stomach flatten out. She felt light, butterflies rose up through her body and she shivered again. A whole body experience of weight lifted off of her. Her expression as she waited for Kate to look over at her was one of sly anticipation, desire. Her eyes were alive and dancing as she licked her lips. Kate froze in place with her jaw locked and her muscles quivering from their tension. What she felt first was a fluttering in her abdomen that spread so fast it made her jaw tingle. A rush of nausea. She felt her abdominal muscles rippling like waves. Kate dug at her oversized blouse until she got ahold of the bottom and lifted it up. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" She cried out as her belly rose up steadily, forming into a perfectly round ball sitting there. A million different things passed through her. Every emotion imaginable as her body adjusted to being in its 4th month of pregnancy. Her hands slowly went to her pregnant belly. She felt the oddly soft firmness as she pressed her fingers down. Kate heard another snap and her purple fingernails turned plain and undone. Her fingers shrank down shorter and became as pale and ordinary as her feet. "I needed a matching pair…can't have cute toes and ugly fingers you know" Bre said looking at her new fingers. Her long fingers topped off by dark purple manicured nails. Her right hand still in the position of finishing a snap; her thumb up and the rest of her fingers down over the palm. "You need to stop this right now…please Breanna. You…please stop! I'll get you out of here I promise!" Kate bargained. "Mmmm…I don't think so. I mean you don't even like your job so you're probably not a very good lawyer if the only job you can get is defending lovers who can't afford a real lawyer" Bre said in a single song manner with a lot of hand gesturing mixed in. "I already said what if our positions were reversed and well…they're going to be. I am going to be your lawyer! What do you think about that Kate?! Great right?!" Kate's blue eyes widened and her jaw dropped to protest once more but before she could speak… "By Lugh, we will swap education levels. I will have your college degrees including your experience as an attorney and you will become a former C and D student who barely graduated from high school as we switch knowledge" Kate gaped at the words being said. It was her worst nightmare come true. The Latin words left first. Law terminology with Latin roots followed by more practical day to day elements of practicing. More obscure subjects like Constitutional law, Real Estate and Tax law followed by the basics. Her college degree in Criminal Justice was the next to drain away.  So many hours and years of dedication vanishing into thin air. Most of her high school disappeared too as honors AP classes turned into barely staying out of IEP classes. Kate was left with a 6th grade reading level and not much beyond that. High school was more a memory of sneaking smoke breaks. Breanna's jaw dropped. She was in awe of everything flooding into her. So much knowledge but along with it came a maturity swap that she wasn't expecting. Pure book knowledge accompanied by practical experience. Her education level expanded exponentially into realms she had never even thought possible. She was staggered by what she had just gained; what she had just taken. "What a shock it must be to her to be so dumb now. As dumb as I used to be" Bre thought. Their eyes met a sharp, piercing gaze from Breanna and a dull, confused look from Kate. "Well I'm certainly not the dumbest person in this room any longer. In fact, I'm never going to be that ever again…my God…" she looked at Kate with pity. But not mercy. "Trust me Kate, I'll be a better lawyer for you than you were going to be for me" "What the fuck did I ever do to you?" Kate asked. "Nothing" Bre replied with a shrug "It was just bad luck on you. See I found out about the power of the statue of the Portrait of Lugh by accident. My original plan had been to either sell it on the black market or to use it to switch places with one of the Witherspoon family. That little socialite Gracie was my target…the one on TMZ all the time in her skimpy outfits on her yacht. But I got caught too soon" She shrugged again and smiled "That’s where you come in. Pretty enough, smart enough and most importantly, once I'm you I can waltz right out of here" "No one will ever believe…" "You?. That's right…once I'm done with us no one will ever believe a gutter rat trash like you. And what I do next…that's for me only" Bre finished for her. She looked down at her prison orange outfit which no longer fit her tall frame or suited her needs anymore. She tapped her heel seeing how high up her calf the pants had ridden up. She smirked as she tapped a single time extra hard and just like that, their outfits changed places.  One second, Bre is seeing her orange top and pants. The next, she's in a black knee length pencil skirt and white silk blouse. For Kate, she experienced more of it. Her loose and drooping skirt morphed into a pair of loose fit orange industrial pants that were too long for her now stubby legs and the cuffs brushed over her feet. She saw her white blouse in contrast with the orange pants just before that too disappeared. An orange prison top fluttered into place.  She had just enough time to take in a breath before a super small bra snapped into place mashing her large breasts down painfully. Her silk bra and panties were gone, replaced by cheap prison items not in her size. Bre shivered when she realized a huge bra had appeared on her body. The faint itching from the cheap panties was also gone, replaced by super soft elegance. Bre looked over and saw the discomfort on Kate's face. "Let me help you out over there little Kate. I'll be more than happy to swap out my chest for yours…you can get mistaken for a little boy from now on while I'll flaunt those gorgeous mounds of yours" She teased. Kate grimaced. Her whole chest felt strapped down until she gave a shudder and the pressure began to dissipate. Relief. She had felt her face turning red from the binding but it came at the expense of another lost attribute.  The front of her orange shirt started dropping down lower as the breasts beneath it began to shrink away. From a 38DD, Kate had a magnificent chest, down to Breanna's paltry 34As, they were on their way away. She took in a gasping breath as she felt the cheap cotton bra loosening up. Her nipples poked through but even those were now shrinking down to less.  Her new bra was a glorified sports bra; most of the time she could go without one. Weight, mass and flesh depleted, deflated and transferred away from her ever shrinking body. Bre nearly moaned out in pleasure but she caught the sound still in her throat. The intense tingling sensation buckled her knees "Oh my God" she purred, squirming and writhing in pleasure as she felt her breasts growing on her. Bre's tiny tits swelled. She looked down at her legs and started shaking her head "I just need the whole package" she sighed and cocked her head "My clothes just won't look right" Kate let out a whimper as she felt her ass deflating. Her calves got thicker while her thighs got slimmer making her legs devoid of curves, just straight up and down as her hips also narrowed.  She felt muscles twitching in her arms and back as more of her body changed. Bre swayed her hips as they spread. She smiled as her ass grew out round, full and pert and her legs began to gain curve. Her calves lifted, her thighs filled out with just the right mix of muscle and fat. Her back and shoulders and arms twitched into place. "And now to switch faces…" she said, staring down into Kate's upturned one. Kate just shook her head faintly looking up at Breanna who smiled eagerly, her brown eyes dancing with a voracious, thieving impatience. Kate would feel a tingle and then see that corresponding part change on Bre.  Bre was methodical as she swapped out their faces. She focused first on the overall structure of their faces. She swapped their chins and jawline. She swapped their cheekbones and the size of their foreheads, setting a foundation first. It was absolutely fascinating to watch this woman before her take on her own face. Kate felt her mouth tingling as it began to shrink down. Her teeth vibrated and she gagged as her tongue flicked, changing shape. The taste in her mouth devolved from mint to cheeto. Kate watched as Bre's lips spread out wider and plumped slightly. Her smile changed from the predatory sneer to a much more pleasant and socially acceptable one.  Bre's teeth grew larger inside her mouth, straightening, strengthening, and whitening as her tongue popped. She let out an audible pass of air from her nose as it grew. Bre's pug nose lengthened and broadened into a nose much more fit for her face. As Kate's nose shrank back and turned up at the end, she felt her scalp start to itch. Bre's rats nest of brown hair smoothed, slicked down and lightened in color to a natural blonde. It pulled back into a tight, professional bun and she couldn't help but snicker at Kate's hair. Unruly and knotted in places, hadn't been brushed or washed properly in quite some time. Bre detected a jasmine scent in her hair now. Bre swapped their eyebrows next, taking the sculpted and plucked brows from Kate.  Bre felt her ears heat up as they grew larger. Two small diamond studs popped into the holes. Kate felt her ears heat up and crunch inward, shrinking down as her earrings popped off her ears. She saw them reappear instantly on Bre's ears. They locked eyes again. Bre watched the shape of Kate's eyes change first followed by them darkening from blue to brown. Kate let out a last weak sigh as she watched Bre's eyes shift slightly larger and lightened from brown to blue. "There…that's better" Bre said in Kate's voice. "What the actual Fuck?!" Kate repliedin Bre's voice. "I see that our time is up" Bre said, seeing a guard come to the small window and look in. She gathered up her papers and strode to the door. 4 months later… "Breanna…you have a visitor" Kate let out a heavy sigh and began to struggle to get up. Grunting and sighing she managed to swing herself off her narrow bed. Her big pregnant belly sloshed and she tugged at her top to try to cover it. It didn't. Purple spider veins were showing but she didn't care as she waddled out. "Of course it's you" she said, seeing her visitor. Bre stood up and smoothed out her skirt "Oh look at you! You're getting so big it looks like you're about to pop" Kate eased into the chair letting out another long sigh and Bre sat back down. "So how are they treating you? Getting settled in here?" She asked. "It's better of course" Kate replied as Bre smiled and nodded. "Well, aren't you going to thank your brilliant lawyer?" Bre beamed. "Thanks" Kate replied in a tone dripping with sarcasm and latent hatred.  They were sitting in the living room of a Halfway House that Kate was a resident of for the next year. "You could have gotten 15 years of hard time" Bre reminded her. At the trial, Bre had surprised everyone by having 5 members of the Witherspoon family plead on behalf of the Defendant for leniency, including family matriarch Jane Witherspoon. A year in a halfway house and probation were handed down. "Blackmail and leverage are very powerful tools" Bre noted "But now the Portrait of Lugh is in the Dublin Museum…" she smirked. "So…" Kate said. "So obviously we are never swapping back" Bre laughed "But you'll find once you get out that you have a small house fully paid for and a sum in savings…and a job as my secretary" Kate shook her head. "It's the least I could do as I go into private practice. With some hard work and dedication, you might become a paralegal" she crossed her long legs and bounced her heeled foot. "But in the meantime I'll check in on you. I'll visit you in the hospital too" she added. "Great…thanks again" she replied sarcastically. "You are so welcome, Breanna" Bre said, getting to her feet.
